Corn Harvest
Kyle had a new opportunity to harvest corn this past week. After picking Morgan and Cade up from a friend's house after school around 5:30 Morgan asked Kyle, "Dad, can you get the piece of corn out of my nose that got stuck there during recess today? It's kind of starting to hurt." He asked her to tilt her head back so he could inspect- a yellow kernel was visible. After a few good blows into a kleenex he rescued her from the corn that had spent the last several hours shoved WAY up her nose. We still don't know that we ever got the real story as to how this happened. We are just thankful it didn't take a trip to the ER and various sharp looking utensils to harvest the corn and that she said something before we started seeing corn leaves growing from her ears!

We had our first I-put-something-in-my-nose experience a couple weeks ago. Evan put a big fuzzie off the floor in his nose. Then he tried to get it out which shoved it up there farther. Not as bad as corn, for sure. But he was pretty upset about it when he realized he wasn't going to get it out on his own.
ReplyDeleteI laughed pretty hard at her, "Dad, could you get the piece of corn out of my nose that got stuck up there during recess today? It's kind of starting to hurt." I can totally hear her saying that! Poor girl!
